"The most exciting day of your life is the first day you spend on a film set. The most boring day of your life is the second day you spend on a film set." ----- William Goldman

As much as I love the guy, not true.
Finished working on Baby’s Breath in late March, 2003.
‘Twas very fun to see how movies actually get made-- Ashley had been giving me daily reports, but it’s still great to actually be there in the middle of it all. I did about five or six takes of my scene . . . all in all, I went down there for a weekend and spent about half an hour of it actually working. I could get used to that. :-)
Met a bunch of great people . . . Matt and Laurin I’d already talked to, of course, and I’d had the opportunity to meet most of the cast at the Christmas party, but now I really got to see everybody in action. Also met ‘Uncle Creepy’, moderator of the Fangoria.com bulletin boards, who won a cameo in the movie.
And I can look up my name on imdb.com now and get an entry! I know, I’m way too easily entertained.

Filming wasn’t the only thing that went on that weekend-- based on a story of Matt’s, my friend and I decided to take a tape recorder, go to a cemetery at night, hit record on the tape player and then leave it near a headstone. Fifteen minutes later we came back, and then went to the next cemetery . . . for most of the tape it was just silence or general night noises, but near the end of the tape at the second cemetery we recorded a voice saying, “Hurry”.
Not the only strange occurrence-- not sure how many of you have heard of ‘orbs’ in photographs, but what they are is bright circles of light that can’t be explained by lens flare, etc. (for example, if you take several pictures right in a row, from the same spot, and the circle of light moves further up in each picture). ‘Orbs’ are supposed to be photographs of spirits . . . and they seem to be all over the place in several of the pictures taken around the sets.
Gotta love Kansas. ;-)

Here's a picture of Ashley and I, on our way to the premiere, which was held at the Warren Old Town Theatre on August 14, and pictures of us in the limousine:

And, just because I'm a nerd, my entry at imdb.com. :-)
